『Science of the Secondary』シリーズは、りんごやコップ、時計といった、私たちの日常生活に存在するごく身近な事物や現象に焦点を当て、人間とそれらとの関係性を細やかに観察し、探求するプロジェクトです。誰もが知っているはずの事象をテーマに、ユニークな視点とリサーチで、私たちが無意識に見過ごしている日常の豊かさや、物と人との間の繊細な関係性を静かに浮き彫りにします。

本ボックスセットは、現在単体では絶版となっている号も含まれており、シリーズの初期の軌跡を網羅できる貴重なセットです。また、シンガポールのデザインスタジオ、ギデオン＝ジェイミー（gideon-jamie）がデザインを担当した特製スリップケースとポスターが付属しています。

アトリエ・ホコ（Atelier HOKO）
人と物、そして空間がばらばらになりつつある現状を研究するインディペンデントのリサーチラボ。知らないことを「知らない」と理解する技術や寛容さを人びとの中に育み、新しい見方で現実に向き合うことで、日常におけるあらゆる現象に対してより高い好奇心を呼び起こすことを目標にしています。シンガポールを拠点に、アルヴィン・ホー（Alvin Ho）とクララ・コー（Clara Koh）により2002年に設立されました。

The Science of the Secondary series is a project that closely observes and explores the relationship between humans and the highly familiar objects and phenomena present in our daily lives, such as an apple, a cup, and a clock. By focusing on subjects that everyone supposedly knows, it employs unique perspectives and research to quietly highlight the everyday richness we unconsciously overlook, as well as the delicate interactions between people and things.

This boxed set includes issues that are currently out of print as single copies, making it a valuable package that comprehensively covers the early trajectory of the series. Furthermore, it includes a special slipcase and a poster designed by the Singaporean design studio gideon-jamie.

Atelier HOKO (2002) is an independent creative practice that focuses on the study of the growing disengagement between people, things and space. The atelier hopes to cultivate in people, an open-ness and ability to un-know, bringing about a heightened curiosity towards all phenomena by taking a fresh look at reality. Founded by Alvin Ho and Clara Koh.
