ベルリンを拠点に活躍するアーティスト、ステファン・マルクス（Stefan Marx）の手書き文字をデジタルフォントとして公開することを記念して制作された作品集。本書は、アーティストの手書き文字という極めて個人的な表現を他者が使用可能な形に変換するとはどういうことなのかを探る、アーティストブックと書体見本帳、二つの側面を持ったアコーディオンブックです。、全長2.5メートルにわたるグリフ見本に加え、AからZまでのドローイング作品、キュレーターのビリー・マラベン（Billie Muraben）によるエッセイ、そして「ジンの祖父」とも称されるA・A・ブロンソン（AA Bronson）による詩を収録。視覚と言語、パーソナルとパブリックの境界を軽やかに横断する一冊です。デザインはベルリンを拠点に活動するタイプファウンドリーであるDinamoと、同じくベルリンを拠点に活動するveryesによるもの。

ABC Stefan is an artist-specimen-accordian-book hybrid designed by Dinamo and veryes, which examines what it means to take something as personal as an artist’s handwriting and make it accessible for others to use. Published to celebrate the release of ABC Stefan — a digitization of the artist Stefan Marx’s personal handwriting — the artist book features 2.5m of glyphs, Stefan Marx's A-Z of drawings, an essay by design writer and curator Billie Muraben, and a poem-artwork by the grandfather of zine-making, AA Bronson.
