本書は、ロンドンとソウルを拠点に活動する作家、キム・チュンミ（Choon Mi Kim）の初となるモノグラフ。絵画とドローイングの境界に関する問いから出発し、制作プロセスや時間、そしてそれらが持つ固有の言語や出自を探求しています。切り出されたキャンバス布の上に描かれたドローイングは、絵画という形式そのものに疑問を投げかけ、両者の間の曖昧な境界を浮き彫りにします。本書には28点のドローイングとともに、批評家マーティン・ハーバート（Martin Herbert）によるエッセイ、作家スコット・ヤング（Scott Young）との対話が収録されています。作家が長年の制作を通じて思索してきた「絵画になっていく過程」を捉えた記録集。

Dice is the debut publication by Kim Chunmi (김춘미), an artist based in London and Seoul. Starting from an inquiry into the boundaries between painting and drawing, this book explores the processes and temporality of image-making, as well as their inherent languages and origins. Drawings executed on fragments of cut canvas pose questions to the formal structures of painting, revealing the blurred lines between the two mediums. The book features twenty-eight drawings alongside an essay by art critic Martin Herbert  and a conversation with the artist Scott Young. Dice serves as a record of the artist's long-standing reflections on the "process of becoming a picture."
