映画「アバター」のロゴに使用されたフォント「Papyrus」は、一部のデザイン関係者からは安価で入手しやすい既製フォントを大作映画で使うのは安っぽいと批判されています。その後、アメリカのコメディ番組「Saturday Night Live」でライアン・ゴスリング扮する男性がPapyrusフォントの使用に過剰に怒り狂うという内容で話題になり、特にアメリカでは一連の出来事から、その数年間でPapyrusのイメージが大きく変わったという興味深いエピソードがあります。

出版社Dog Yearsのキャップ「Helvetica」は、Papyrusを現代的にアレンジした書体で、それらと対照的とも言えるフォント「Helvetica」の名前をタイプし、Papyrusへの愛着とSNLのストーリーがユニークかつシニカルに描かれています。
