本作は、「パンの文字」シリーズの展開を収めたもの。焼きたてのパンを思わせるふっくらとした質感と温かみを宿したタイポグラフィを中心に、小さなオブジェクトや、制作の過程で自然発生的に生まれた副産物的なデザインの断片までを丁寧に採集・再構成しています。文字を彫刻やオブジェクトのような手触りのある存在として扱いながら、完成されたグラフィックだけでなく、思考の痕跡や制作の派生そのものを愛おしむ、軽やかで詩的な魅力を湛えた一冊です。

A publication by graphic designer Tomoko Yamashita. This volume gathers the evolution of her ‘Bread Lettering’ series. Centred on typography imbued with the plump texture and warmth of freshly baked bread, it thoughtfully collects and reassembles miniature objects alongside fragments of design by-products generated spontaneously during the creative process. Treating letterforms as tactile entities akin to sculptures and physical objects, the book cherishes not only completed graphics but also the lingering traces of thought and creative offshoots, resulting in a work defined by a light and poetic charm.
