"A codex" is the original SHABA notebook favored by Kudo. Inspired by how Kudo used this minimalist notebook—essentially a bundle of paper bound simply with thread—to jot down the seeds of his ideas, a special collaboration item was created for his solo exhibition at SHABA, "he was, he is.". The notebook features Kudo's freehand imagery applied via silkscreen printing on the edges and foil stamping on the cover. Additionally, original prints by Kudo are tucked into the front and back pages. *The type of print included is random.
