現在開催中の展覧会「WERK 2000-2025」にあわせて、雑誌『WERK』の発行人でありアートディレクターである、テセウス・チャンによるトークイベントを開催します。

『WERK』は2000年の創刊以来、コム・デ・ギャルソンやシュタイデルなど、様々なアーティストやブランドと協働しながら、常にグラフィックデザインと印刷表現の可能性を問い続けてきました。製作時の個体差やエラーといった偶発性を意図的に取り込む姿勢は、予測可能なデジタルデザインが主流の現代において極めてラディカルな批評と言えます。

当日は、テセウス・チャンのデザイン哲学や雑誌『WERK』の制作背景について、話を伺います。また、トーク終了後にはサイン会も実施いたします。ぜひご参加ください。

To celebrate our current exhibition "WERK 2000-2025," we are pleased to host a talk event with Theseus Chan, the publisher and art director of WERK magazine.
Since its first issue in 2000, WERK has continuously questioned the possibilities of graphic design and print expression, collaborating with various artists and brands such as Comme des Garçons, Steidl and more. This practice of intentionally incorporating "accidents"—such as inconsistencies and errors during production—stands as a radical critique in our current era dominated by predictable digital design.

Theseus Chan will discuss his design philosophy and the background behind the creation of WERK. A book signing will follow the talk. We hope you will join us for this special occasion.
